Black River Park is officially THE GREENEST office precinct in South Africa with all of its buildings Green Star SA rated.
The largest roof-mounted solar photovoltaic system in Southern Africa is installed at Black River Park.
All waste is sorted on site into recyclable and non-recyclable materials and we also provide for the correct disposal of fluorescent tubing.
Ecologically friendly gardens are maintained with borehole water pumped on site.
Buildings are fitted with performance glass and balcony overhangs to reduce heat and shield harsh sunlight.
Boundary walls are electrically fenced and the entire complex is monitored by sophisticated 24-hour surveillance cameras.
The centralized control room is manned 24 hours by a highly trained team of security officials. The control room is in radio contact with the security officials who patrol on foot and on bicycle.
Entry to the park is controlled by boom gates and the security office and access to buildings is gained through individual access discs for employees and an intercom for visitors.
Tenants have the option of linking their security alarm system to the security control room which will notify the security guards of an alarm being activated.
